Zoos meant to humanize animals by caging them and then having little point and say “Ooooo”. But animals are animals, and with the exception of a house dog and cat (and a few others), animals does not lose their violent instincts just because they are caged and surrounded by people.
Such a misunderstanding has led to some horrific events at Americans Zoos where naive people assume that the bears just want to hug and find that they just want to eat.
Watching, say, tigers at the Zoo may make us forget that they are blood thirsty animals and it is against their nature to be feed with pieces of lamb thrown by humans. Tigers like to hunt.
And the people attending the Washington National Zoo recently learned that lesson. It is a sad story with hard images to see, so if your weak-hearted please close this window now.
A young baby deer recently entered the tigers den - so to speak - at the National Zoo. The poor deer did not give up without a fight, but, very sadly, it was not a nice ending.
In the end, the deer was killed by the lions and eaten. O’ NOOOOOO!
And you thought Bambi was sad, this is real life. Not the most pleasent image for little children to see, but a reminder that Zoos are really an unnatural experience. Animals are not submissive beings.
That poor deer. So sad. Buy why is this coward so shocked? Are they so sad to see a deer being killed while they eat their hotdog they just bought at that very same Zoo? Cognitive something. What’s up with that?
