Yesterday I wrote that Turkey may be warming up to Israel:
Israel has been panicking about its souring relations with Turkey. The loss of Turkey would further alienate the Jewish state in the international arena and undermine its legitimacy. It would also put more pressure on Egypt and Jordan to end their own relations with Israel.
And Turkey recently dis-invited Israel from a NATO training exercise (Israel is not a NATO member). The exercise was eventually canceled all together as the United States predictably and uncritically took Israel’s side.
But are things beginning to change?:
Israel, Jordan, and Turkey conducted a joint search and rescue military drill two weeks ago, the Turkish daily Zaman reported on Monday, pointing to an apparent ease in recent tensions between Jerusalem and Ankara. The exercise reportedly took place in the Turkish army’s special forces training ground, in the vicinity of the Turkish capital.
But one should not read too much into the event. First, Turkey canceled a major event while this is just a minor exercise. Second, Turkey has stated that it is conditioning relations on peace with the Palestinians and the Turkish government and people are resolutely pro-Palestinian.
So no worries here for the Palestinians. Relations are still frigid and will remain until some degree of justice is accorded Palestinians. Turkey is still on their side.
I concluded that that wasn’t the case and the new drill is meaningless. But Israel - which needs Turkey more than vise verse - may be warming up to Anatolia.
Part of the official reasoning for Turkey’s cancellation fo the NATO exercise was that Israel did not deliver drone jets. Well look who has delivered:
Israel is ready to complete the delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs, to Turkey, Israeli Army Radio reported.
Israel may dream, but Turkey will hopefully remain pro-Palestinian and see to it that a Palestinian state is established.
On a separate note, Zionist American thugs want the U.S. to punish Turkey on Israel’s behalf:
Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y) says he wants the United States to reassess its relationship with Turkey, in the wake of that country’s recent harsh criticism of Israel over the Gaza war and other matters and its exclusion of Israel from a NATO military exercise.
“Turkey really worries me,” said Israel in an interview with JTA Tuesday after returning from a three-day trip to the Jewish state last week. “They’ve shown thoroughly irresponsible behavior.”
Israel said he would be sending a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton demanding a reassessment of the relationship in light of Turkey’s recent actions.
Think about their logic: Turkey may be a strategic ally, but the U.S. should solely decide its relations with Turkey based on how Turkey treats a foreign nation.
Zionists would prefer to undermine U.S. relations with the entire world, undermining U.S. interests, solely due to their love for Israel. Ask yourself: whose interest are they looking out for here: the U.S. or Israel?
And then they have the temerity to attack anyone who states or suggests they have “dual” loyalty. No it is not true they have daul loyalty. Their own loyalty is to Israel and the U.S. should be dragged down with it.
So Israel may not be warming up to Turkey after all, the company must just need the money; and Israel is using once again the fordimable Israel lobby to do its dirty work and smear any critics of Zion. Steve Israel got the memo. Do they think such thuggish tactics will win then survival? In their dreams.
